The Studio NAFA Class of 2018 has started to take shape. The fall season kicked off a number of student design competitions around the world, many in preparation for the IFF REMIX competition that concludes in February 2018. Through university outreach and student design competition sponsorships, NAFA proudly supports young talent in fur design from around the world and look forward to hosting a new year of students at Studio NAFA come summer 2018.
Starting in Korea, NAFA sponsored the 4th annual K-FUR Design Contest in Seoul. The final round of the 4th K-FUR Design Contest and fashion show was held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Textile Center in Seoul. NAFA was proud to sponsor the event and winner who will receive an all–expenses paid trip to Studio NAFA in 2018. There to present the award was Suemi Kim, Marketing Director of NAFA Korea. The winner was Hyunjung, Choi of Sunchon University.
The Korean Fur Federation also expressed their appreciation for NAFA’s support of fur fashion and the development of aspiring designers in Korea.
Over to Canada, NAFA and the Fur Council of Canada congratulate Helen Yan of George Brown College who won first place in REMIX Canada 2018. Helen will bring her designs to life with NAFA furs and go on to compete in the IFF REMIX competition this winter. She too will be participating at Studio NAFA 2018.
Most recently, IFF Asia hosted the Asia Fur Design Competition – Asia Remix 2017 Grand Final, a runway show and a competition held during Taipei In-Style Fashion Week in Taipei, Taiwan on November 17. A remarkable 13 finalists from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan were selected from 6000 entries submitted by international participants.
NAFA congratulates HU Xin Yi, winner of the Creative Design Award of Female Category who will head to Studio NAFA 2018.
